UNRWA calls to protect lives of Palestinian refugees in Syria

Wafa– The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Thursday called for ensuring security and protection to Palestinian refugees in Syria.

UNRWA called on all concerned parties to protect the sanctity of human lives as required under international law, protect the safety and dignity of every person and ensure no further loss of lives.

Filippo Grandi, UNRWA Commissioner-General, said in a statement that he feels deeply saddened by the loss of lives and injuries among Palestinian refugees during Syria’s recent events, including the recent events in Yarmouk refugee camp, home for a third of Syria’s Palestinian refugees. Read more
