Studies show that US coverage is Israeli-centric. The main bureaus for CNN, Associated Press, Time, etc. are located in Israel and often staffed by Israelis. The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Report: Obama neglects Hamas outreach attempt

Ma'an – US President Barack Obama reportedly disregarded two letters from Hamas in Gaza sent two weeks ago in an attempt to break political deadlock the party says hinges on US stubbornness, Israeli media reported.

According to what the Hebrew language Israeli daily newspaper Yedioth Aharonoth called a "reliable source," de facto Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh wrote that that Hamas would be prepared to recognize Israel within the 1967 borders in exchange for a ceasefire agreement.

Hamas was reportedly disappointed by Obama's failure to read the letters, which remain in the White House, the daily wrote.
