The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Settlers Uproot 30 Olive Trees Near Qalqilia

Israeli settlers uprooted on Friday at least 30 Olive trees ....

...Local residents and the owners of the lands in question cannot enter the orchard without a permit from the Israeli military.

The attack is not the first as previously settlers torched orchards in the area while the army failed to intervene and failed to probe the attacks.

In related news, at least 200 settlers attacked on Friday the Rawabi city, north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah.

The settlers previously tried to install an outpost near Rawabi and expressed their rejection to the construction and recognition of new Palestinian city. They claimed that this city will “weaken the Jewish presence”.  Full story
