Ma'an- The father of a Palestinian detained in an Israeli prison expressed concern for his son's health, a prisoners' center reported.
Haitham Salhiya's father learned from released detainees that his son was put in solitary confinement in a cell the size of a small mattress for 19 consecutive days in Al-Saba prison. He was later put in isolation for 21 consecutive days in Ramon prison.
The detainee was banned from buying anything from the prison shop for three months and fined 750 shekels, his father said.
Meanwhile the detainee's relatives say they have been banned from visiting him for three months.
"Who guarantees my son won't be targeted again when he is in solitary confinement?" Salhiya's father asked.
Prisoners' committee member Raafat Hamdouna urged officials to visit Salhiya and to send lawyers to see him.
