The son of the NY Times bureau chief is in the Israeli army;"pundit" Jeffrey Goldberg served in the IDF; Wolf Blitzer worked for AIPAC. Because the U.S. gives Israel over $8 million/day - more than to any other nation - we feel it is essential that we be fully informed on this region. Below are news reports to augment mainstream coverage.

Palestinians injured during clashes in Al-Issawiya

Wafa– Several Palestinians were injured Wednesday night when Israeli soldiers fired at them in Al-Issawiya neighborhood in East Jerusalem, according to local sources.

Raed Isawi, present at the scene, said the Israeli army stormed the neighborhood and threw tear gas and sonic bombs at crowds of Palestinians who responded by throwing stones and bottles.

Ahmed Masri, a 28 year old Palestinian, was injured by rubber bullets during the clashes and transferred to Hadassah hospital for treatment, despite the attempt by Israeli soldiers to delay his transfer from the scene after he bled and lost consciousness.

Israeli soldiers also arrested several Palestinians.
