Dozens vomit after soldiers spray chemical at anti-wall rally

Dozens of Palestinian, international and even Israeli protesters vomited after they were sprayed with a foul-smelling chemical and CS gas at a demonstration near Ramallah on Friday, organizing officials said.

Israeli soldiers have this month increasingly been using the controversial chemical to dispel the weekly gatherings, which assemble each Friday near the separation wall that cuts the village of Bil'in from about 60 percent of its land.

Last week a Palestinian parliament member, Mustafa Bargouthi, became ill when he and dozens of others were sprayed by the liquid during a similar protest in the same Ramallah-area village.
